Grateful

Hello lovelies! I’m back again to semi-consistently write in my blog. There have been some ups and downs but I’m feeling up! I’m feeling grateful for so many things.

First, let’s get the downs out of the way. Luckily, they each have an upside. So that’s good. I’m grateful for the upsides. Haha

 1. My back has been so messed up for like months. There is no Joint chiropractor here. In fact there’s only like one chiropractor in this whole city. Upside, he’s from California, I think he’s good. I finally bit the bullet and went to him. It was expensive! Hopefully it helps!

That leads me to...

  1. I am LOVING my job and all my tutoring/lesson-giving, but unfortunately it’s not the most lucrative deal. Some people save their money and get stable full-time jobs, and some people move every year and spend all their money on plane tickets. Upside, I’m having fun, so it’s fine! šŸ˜…
  1. Lastly, it has been so cold and rainy!! I did get an umbrella and some gloves which have been lovely. My comfy orthopedic shoes that I wear every day are kind of made of mesh. Upside, I found some good waterproof boots yesterday with Cristian. I think they will help a lot.
  1. I have to go to work on Thanksgiving! Haha Tragic, I know. Upside, Cristian and I are going to the American group Thanksgiving and bringing green bean casserole and Bolivian food respectively.

Ok now for the straight gratitude!

  1. It’s gorgeous here! Especially if it’s not raining, it’s amazing. The fall colors have been in their peak glory, and I love it! šŸ‚šŸ
  1. My ward is awesome and I feel really involved. I sang in church with one of the sister missionaries who I love! It was beautiful and I was happy with it. I just got called as a Young Women’s advisor. There are like four young women if they all come (and one of them is just an investigator), and I’m so excited! Cristian also just got called as the Sunday School President. But there are so many awesome young couples and YSA who I just love.
  1. I have a choir concert this weekend! It’s not the Tabernacle Choir, but the songs are fun to sing and I have a pretty red dress to wear haha.
  1. Cristian is wonderful. I’m grateful for all the little ways he makes me feel seen and loved. I’m grateful for his sense of humor and the way he makes me laugh. We started watching Brooklyn 99 together, and we love it!
  1. I’m grateful for all the lessons I’ve learned in my young (getting less young) life. It’s easy to want to wish away the hard parts of life or tough things we’ve been through, but it’s a lot harder to wish away the people we’ve become from those things. All the things, blessings and maybe especially challenges, of the last few years and before that have made me who I am. I am so glad. I’m so grateful that the Lord will continue refining me.
  1. I know I’ve said this before, but I’m so grateful that I followed the prompting to come to Spain. I’m glad Heavenly Father didn’t let me get accepted to the job or the program in Hawaii in the spring. I’m glad he blessed me in so many ways with my visa process. I’m grateful that he has blessed me with so many confirming witnesses that this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’m grateful for my life.
